Aqua Logic Delta Star Heat Pumps offers the same reliability as our chillers but with the added ability to heat your water as well. One unit handles both the heating and cooling functions automatically in both freshwater and saltwater applications. A properly sized and installed heat pump will provide stable, thermostatically controlled water temperature.

In the cooling mode, the heat pump works as a chiller, cooling water to the temperature you select. In the heating mode, the heat pump works with the liquid refrigerant (Freon) flow in reverse. Freon absorbs heat from the air as it moves thru the condenser. As it heats, the Freon becomes a gas, which is then compressed by the compressor. The heat carried by the Freon is then released into the titanium heat exchanger and transferred into the circulated water.

Delta Star Heat Pumps come with a dual stage digital temperature controller in NEMA4X enclosure and will maintain water temperatures in the range from 40o-85oF. The controller can read in either F or C and will maintain the water within 1 degree of the set point.

Titan Heat Pumps by Aqua Logic are designed for a wide range of applications. If you are a public aquarium, aquaculture facility, government or university research institution or hydroponics operation we have a unit that will meet your needs.

These heat pumps feature an insulated titanium heat exchanger and a commercial TRANE condensing unit all mounted on a stainless steel frame which assures you of equipment reliability and longevity.

All units are suitable for outdoor installation. Heat Pumps up to 5hp have a special ”Spine Fin” condenser coil which has proven to have superior heat transfer performance and capacity over traditional radially finned heat exchangers. This style condenser also has a much greater resistance to corrosion in harsh environments such as moist salty air or chemically tainted rainwater.

All units feature a dual stage digital temperature controller enclosed in a NEMA4X enclosure with easy 3 push button programming and will maintain water temperatures in the range from 40^o-85^oF . The controller can display in either ^oF or ^oC and will maintain the water within 1 degree of the set point. Flow switches are installed to shut down the chiller should water flow to the heat exchanger stop preventing freeze up and possible cracking of the outer shell.
